Meet Our New Data Genius: Natalie Groeger

She's someone who loves spreadsheets, numbers, and telling a story.

If you know Sabal Strategy, you know we’re all about data. We love data. We love talking about what data can do for our clients. We want everyone to love data as much as we do. So it comes as no surprise that when we meet a like-minded person, we do a happy dance and put our heads together to talk, what else, DATA! Last year, we introduced you to Natalie Groeger, a wunderkind who majored in art and business at William & Mary. And then made a career in senior living. Today, we’re jumping for joy to introduce her to you as our new Data Genius!

Passion, Meet Purpose

Growing up on a farm, Natalie began early learning the art and necessity of hard work. Literally. Her dad had her carseat strapped to a tractor so she could spray weeds as a toddler. Those lessons are rooted deeply in her life’s purpose. Kill the weeds; reap the crop. But today she’s toiling in spreadsheets and mining CRMs to help clients reap the benefit of her insights and knowledge.

While her art major led to a passion for sculpting in bronze, not the easiest choice of medium, her practical side pursued a second major in business. As a business major, she had an internship in a local senior living community. Passion met purpose and the first door in her career path was opened.

The unlikely double major laid a firm foundation for a woman who readily acknowledges that she needs to measure and analyze to understand and discover. While she values the known, it’s the unknown that pulls her. And she loves the way understanding the numbers make it easy to visualize something that’s often unclear. 

We’re MORE than a Number

When you stop and think about it, the digital age reduces us to endless sets of numbers. They’re our legal identifiers, from license plates to social security numbers. Advertisers see us as specific IP addresses and phone ID numbers.

But we’re so much more than a set of integers. Natalie sees that “more” as the difference maker. And she values Sabal Strategy’s data as a way to give color to the black and white of numbers. (See what we did there? 🙂

In her new role, Natalie Groeger won’t just measure and report more numbers by counting clicks, opens, or conversions. She’s dedicated to helping clients feel empowered by their data instead of overwhelmed by the metrics. Her goal is to provide marketing and sales teams with the tools they need in order to understand how their campaigns performed and how to tell that story in a compelling way to those who raise their hands. And because her key strengths are curiosity and a personal need to innovate, she’s passionate about helping these teams work together, work smarter based on measurable insights, and work to improve their community.

Doing the same thing over and over leads to a stalemate if you’re lucky. For the rest of us, it’s madness. Natalie thrives on helping clients leverage the next steps that lead to authentic connections. She believes in spending less by trimming unruly mailing lists to focus on an audience who wants to hear your message.
