Did you know November marks the seventh anniversary of the founding of Sabal Strategy? Seven years. If I was married to Sabal, and some say I am đź‘€, I’d be looking for a gift of copper and/or wool from me, to me. A modern gift would be a desk set, but since we’ve all gone digital, do they even make desk sets today? And I’ll happily pass on a gift of an onyx gem. Instead of gifts, I’m giving thanks for this year, including you and my team.
Thankful for You
It might sound trite, but we wouldn’t be here without our amazing clients and partners. Whether it’s a one-off list for a single campaign, or an on-going partnership for a community like McLean, generating stunning results, I believe our clients are the heart of our company. Equally important are the partners who deliver data that’s on target for each specific client. Together, we’re continually looking for ways to help you find your audience, and find the specific audience who wants to hear your message.Â
Thankful for the Sabal Team
They say that if you want something done, ask a busy woman to do it. It might be trite, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Angela, Natalie, and Lashaun are three perfect examples. Lashaun manages to make all of the accounting and invoicing work look like a walk in the park, and she’s done so from the very first day. Angela and Natalie officially joined Sabal this year, but they’ve been a valuable partner for years. All three ladies juggle countless obligations, but they bring joy and enthusiasm to our work. Without their expertise, Sabal just wouldn’t be the same.
November also marks the “official” time of year to give thanks. I really don’t need a month or a holiday to remind me to be grateful for all the gifts I’ve been blessed to receive. I’m filled with gratitude and giving thanks every single day of the year for my team. They contribute to Sabal Strategy’s success in front and behind the scenes. Because, truthfully? We wouldn’t be here without them.Â
Thankful for Family
My heart fills with joy and gratitude each time I see members of my immediate family. From my indefatigable mom to my daughters and husband, I feel their love and support every minute of my life. Even my two crazy dogs remind me how lucky I am, even when we’re walking in the cold or rain.
Thankful for Dreams
Life is a crazy thing. When I began my career in senior living nearly 30 years ago, I had no idea I’d be in the position I am today. Being a CEO never even entered the equation. Seeing a company grow from an idea to a multi-million dollar reality still amazes me. So as we gather to formally celebrate a cherished tradition, I will be giving thanks for all of this and so much more. Because first we have to dream, then work hard before we can be thankful for all that we have achieved.
